The first post from The Auld House Edit is officially live.
We figured we’d start with something we know a thing or two about: what actually goes into designing a custom home.
Because there’s a lot that happens between “we’re building a house” and picking out all the pretty things.
We’re looking at plans: rethinking a door swing that doesn’t quite make sense, talking through cabinetry based on what you need to store, making sure the builder has selections before he needs them, and keeping an eye on how one decision affects the next.
Sometimes we’re working alongside a builder we’ve just met.
Sometimes we’re working with Daniel at Newnan Remodels & Custom Homes | Lichty Building Group, which means Megan can quite literally bring a design question home with her.
For our first blog, we’re taking you behind the scenes of the Auld House Design process and sharing two custom homes in Senoia and Peachtree City to show what all of that thinking can look like in real life.
