The assignment: create a coordinating set of flags in denim that pay homage to both the City of Chicago and Stars and Stripes to hang in their mountain house bunk room. ✔️

Both were 31 x 44” and will hang on the same wall.

It’s all about connection.

This customer on the east coast knew exactly what he wanted and he trusted me to bring his vision to life.

Each flag intended to be a meaningful and personal connection to places lived, visited and experienced. Pieces that coordinate. Lettering hand-cut. Old, up-cycled textiles embellished with hand embroidered details.

The result: a personalized collection ready to hang + weave into his current surroundings. And it all came from a truly collaborative process.
