Dearest friends,
After some serious soul searching and the weighty realization that I cannot, in fact, do everything all at once, I’ve made the decision to close our storefront. March will be our final month at the current location. My life was so different when we opened our doors. You’ve seen me through a separation, a death of a parent, and some really tough decisions (this being one of them). My heart is so heavy writing this, but I’m remembering that a heart can’t be heavy if it was never full. I have you all to thank for that.
Our little plant shop has been such a labor of love, not just of mine but of our community. I have been absolutely amazed by the support I’ve been offered, the deeply genuine encouragement I’ve received, and the rate at which excitement and passion blossomed within our visitors.
My sister and I always say there is a force field around it. Bad people just…didn’t come in. There was no such thing as a bad day at Mother Magnolia. The greatest employees truly fell into my lap. Customers felt like family almost immediately. There is no way I could have guessed how that would feel, and no way to replicate it.
I plan to continue to see you all at events and markets, and keep our monthly plant gang meeting (just in a new location). I will ALWAYS be here for your funny memes and SOS plant advice. Thank you in advance for your support and hype for our evolution.
Forever in my Mother Magnolia era,
ABG
