It’s a snowy day, Connor is in town this weekend, and I’m thinking about the Spring ahead of me.

It’s going to take a whole lot of each of these ingredients to get me through my final 2 semesters in graduate school, but boy am I grateful to be where I am.

There’s a few projects I get to do that challenge my skills and push me to learn new things about wood burning, and this was one of them. That tends to make the final product all the more special, and this one was no exception!

I met a kind and wonderful family last spring who asked me to babysit their little girl, and it has been a privilege to get to know them since. Her Dad recently asked me if I could burn the design of his unique challenge coin into a wood piece, and I was happy to honor his work in the First Responder community in this way!

In honor of my little brother starting his first week in Shenandoah University’s Acting Conservatory this week, here’s a throwback to the graduation gift I made him in June!

The 4 productions on the left he did Freshmen/Soph year of high school and the 4 on the right he did Junior/Senior year. He knocked those roles out of the park and I know he’ll do the same in college!

I was so happy to be a part of honoring BSYFS’s board members last month, and to pour a little love back into an organization that helped shape how I see the world (and my place in it).

At Bacon Street they believe in second chances, the profound power of a helping hand, and in building resilient communities that stand shoulder to shoulder.

These phenomenal (and super cool) people work tirelessly in the Williamsburg community to provide support and education to youth and families facing substance use challenges, and they’re doing big things! Go check them out!
