I create all of my own patterns and designs, bringing them to life utilizing locally, sustainably and ethically sourced materials.

Happy Mother’s Day! I’m so very grateful for my mom, especially on days that I can’t handle either mentally or physically, she has always been there for me. I hope all mothers can have a wonderful day and feel proud - wether a mother to humans or fur babies, you should know how much you’re loved and appreciated 💜

Here’s a tiny platypus I finished, just got the pattern down and after a few attempts it looks pretty darn good for being teeny tiny 🥹 Since my wrist is doing better I’ve been able to do a little crochet again and I’m so relieved! Still trying to find answers and treatments but I’ll do my best to remain positive that some day I’ll have better health despite my genetic predisposition 💜

Sharing a life update - I have been doing better! I still need to work on a lot to regain my mobility. I’ve been crashing every day after merely getting dressed and showering so fighting the fatigue and limited to no energy has been difficult to navigate. I am on a break for my hand to heal so no crocheting 😭 I just hope it’s not a permanent issue.

I’m considering starting a blog on my YouTube as I navigate fighting my chronic illness, sharing tips and tricks I’m learning to manage health issues, as well as my journey through my dads mountain of cards and just generally my adventures through everyday life.

I appreciate all the support I’ve received and wish you all happy days filled with smiles and joy 💜

I would love to say “I’m so excited to go back to PSM this weekend” but instead I’ve spent the last two weeks fighting down a fever from the flu for it to turn into pneumonia. So.. maybe next weekend 🫠

Fun fact, the ER nurses and doctors are getting familiar with me now. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing… Also, I’ve learned that you can turn the lights off and everyone’s super chill about it so in my room in the ER it is always dark now because of my migraines lol and the sunglasses help even more. I know I look like a goofus, idgaf 🤪

Forgot to take a picture of the hat I donated on Saturday at the pride fundraiser put on by Out in L.C. 🤦‍♀️ but it found a home! LC pride festival is one step closer to reaching their goal for 2026 💜

This year I’m heading to Lincoln City for the pride festival in June 🌈 sadly, last year I had a conflicting pre-paid market with Glastonbury and couldn’t double up so I planned ahead this year and I’ll be excited to see what my home town thinks of my work now, 17 years after my first market at the old Delake School.

Thank you to all the lovelies with outinlc for another amazing event, it made me feel so connected to my community and for the first time since my surgery did I get a chance to feel like a human again 🥰

I’ve been working on this off and on since my partner first showed me the ancient Mesopotamia game “the royal game of UR”. It’s been around for thousands of years! I fell in love with it immediately and started working on The Game of UR-RATS. I don’t know why my brain does this thing where it puts words and names together, but it rolls off the tongue so nicely.

Well, there was no way someone would pay for the amount of work I put into a single hand drawn game with crocheted pieces so this board has now become the concept art for my digital version. I thought I should work on it again while I was healing from surgery, and I’ve gotten through digitally re-drawing all the artwork ~ with some new pieces, too! Now, I’m getting into manufacturing steps so I can sell it at reasonable price!

I’m still making almost everything by hand, casting the dice and designing the art, making the board pieces, board will be canvas and portable.. but I can’t spend two days making crochet board pieces for a game that will sell for like 40 or 50 bucks! So the pieces will be smaller tokens with my rat artworks on them and I’ll have the upgrade 3D versions available for those who want a set of crocheted rats 🤣

I’m also considering doing a version UR-RABBITS since I figured out a pattern to crochet a rabbit last year. UR-RACCOONS wouldn’t be a bad idea too! I can just change the pieces, really!

Well, I was doing good until I wasn’t. Ended up in the ER and they ran so many tests, two panels of blood, ultrasound on legs, X-rays for chest and chest CT to find that I don’t have a blood clot (thank goodness). I got a really cool picture from my CT scan! It looks like a centipede running through the Milky Way or something like a boxers gloves beating up my sickness!

I was having chest pains, trouble breathing and fainting so we went to the ER. I did end up with a bit of hemo acidosis but I’m doing better now. Back at home and just dealing with some fatigue and weakness that I’m hoping will improve as I rest. I’m really thankful nothing serious was wrong but gosh my body does not like being in the hospital for long periods of time 🫠

Hello and good morrow to all of you lovely humans! I’m home from surgery, everything went okay. I guess my fascia is very delicate and so thin (due to my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) that it tore in an area it wasn’t supposed to which led to a little extra bleeding, but otherwise the procedure was successful. Can confirm I did not die 🥰

I unfortunately do have endometriosis and will require further surgery to either remove the scarring or a full hysterectomy with scar removal from the organs affected by the endo. At least I now know why I’ve been having such painful and abnormally long periods all my life!

I’m going to spend the next week healing so if you place an order on my shop, it may be somewhat delayed and the lovely Alan will be the one fulfilling it 💜 I appreciate all of your love and support and wish you all happy days full of smiles!

Just found this fossil 🤣 I think I was maybe 15 or 16 here, with a table of crochet goodies for sale through my mom’s church. When I started doing markets, I had zero job experience which resulted in little to no sales due to my shyness and antisocial nature. I do better now after working retail for so many years!

I later went on selling on consignment to local small businesses in Lincoln City and kept track of my costs and sales, as well as which shops I went to, in a little spiral notebook. Well, I found that notebook along with some ideas I had and never made! Although, I did make the weepinbell hat.. but I’ll have to work on making those other ones someday to fulfill my adolescent dreams of having all my favorite Pokémon on my head 🥰

I quickly learned that the yarn I bought would only make one or two hats, so I wasn’t even making enough money to buy more yarn! I’m not great at math, and that has not changed.

This is why I dislike making wearables. I’m a little over halfway done, currently have used about 1700 yards of yarn and I’m at about 22,000 stitches total. I still have a little under 50 more rows to go, where each row takes about 20 minutes (if I don’t get distracted, it’s hard especially when we travel or I’m having health issues) since they’re 280 stitches across!

Someday this will be done! Christmas is coming late for Alan, very very late 🤣 anyways, it’s sunny in coos bay and I haven’t slept since yesterday! Blursed, I am.

Apologies for the my manic adhd rhitted post but I have some changes to make in the formulation for my products… so I have to re-work my documents I just posted 😭

Also, I had to show off the lovely containers for my Beard Necessities and deodorant! I’m trying to get everything done before my surgery in two weeks because I’ll be down for at least a week. Wish me luck and look forward to some fun new products!

Seriously though, my chat gpt is so nice to me and it reminds me of how supportive all of my customers, friends and family are. I need to spend more time celebrating my small accomplishments and be proud to provide products that support our local small businesses, the Pacific Northwest and the environment. I’m sending my thanks and appreciation to all of you lovelies!
