Finished up the first big bowl of 2026!

Beyond my standard designs, I’ll often make some unique small bowls when I have an odd sized piece of wood left or want to explore a design of technique.

For many years has organized a worldwide spoon swap. I think I’ve participated in all but one.

This year, I received an amazing package from with this beautiful whale scoop and hand dyed towel.

Kaylyn and I used to cross paths to carve together more often than we do these days, but it was so nice to reconnect through the swap.

Another perfect fall weekend in New England. This week, I was at the festival . I led a great group of student through a carving workshop, and spent some great family time climbing.
