This weekend was a little bittersweet. It was stepping closer to ending a chapter of Blue Orchid furniture & decor. I was able to clear out a lot of the inventory that just wasn’t moving on Etsy.
I met some really amazing people from all over my state who came out to shop my clearing out event. I was very happy to see my pieces going to individuals who will enjoy and love the pieces they acquired.
What didn’t get a new home during my event will be donated to local charities. I want to continue to create but on a commission basis (it comes in and goes out). No procuring, storing, marketing, or selling involved.
I have always enjoyed this incredible creative community, following you all, watching your progress and success has always been a joy for me. I will continue to show you all support but, as you all know, I have had to step away from this business.
My soul will always crave the need to create but it won’t be on the scale it was before. Health needs to be my primary focus moving forward. With that as my focus, growing and preserving a vast portion of our food has consumed much of my time. However, I will always advocate for what this community does for our carbon footprint and preservation of pieces from the past.
