Good design doesn’t begin in the foyer—it starts at the curb!  
 
People often ask where an interior designer’s role begins. At MBK Design, we are firm believers in starting from the outside in. We love partnering alongside architects from the very beginning to build a seamless design narrative for the whole property. 
 
Take a peek behind the curtain (or rather, past the palm trees) to see just how hands-on our process is. Every element highlighted here—from the custom corbels and roof selection to the lighting and paver choices—was carefully designed and selected to ensure the exterior transitions effortlessly into the interior.  
 
A cohesive home is all in the details, and we love every step of bringing that vision to life!

If this marble could pick its own soundtrack… it absolutely would choose I’m Sexy and I Know It. 🤍 
 
A dramatic slab like this only works when it’s planned from the beginning. The veining placement is intentional—not random and is cohesive with the designed half drop waterfall on the island. We make design decisions that elevate and choose details where they matter.

When I designed this primary bathroom addition, I wanted natural light and the sink cabinet centered in the new space. With this design the mirror and location had to be carefully designed to not only function, but aesthetically fit the space.  
 
To make the design become reality, I worked with Ryan at Ryan Ferkingstad to create the perfect solution. The beautiful powder coated white mirror blends into the wall when not in use then extends to the center of the sink area.  
 
A thoughtful design never has to be compromised by a challenge—it simply requires the right team to bring the vision to life.
