This is an example of a Client project that I only did space planning for. She does want to purchase new furniture for her living room but her budget did not allow for a full design package. I was able to provide her a visual layout in plan view with approximate furniture dimensions and a 3D visual of what it would look like. Everything is shown in white and the furniture is conceptual. This is just to show placement and traffic pattern, not style and color. But this provides a place to start and you will know what pieces of furniture you are shopping for (a sofa, two chairs, a coffee table and end table, lamps and a rug). Always start with a layout first. Style and color can come next. 👌

Over the Holiday I stayed with my Aunt and her elderly Mom (2 of my most favorite people) and they have a den that they all sit in most of the time to watch TV together. My Aunt's house has always been a favorite place of mine since I was a little kid. This house always feels so cozy to me and I don't think this den has changed in the 30 some years I have known it. I did not get a 'before photo' but previously the sofa was in the same place, but the large TV was located to the right of the sliding glass door on a small wall and all three recliner chairs were facing it making all the furniture facing the longest length of the room. It created an awkward layout when people were sitting on the sofa because they were sitting behind the chairs and no one was facing each other and no one could enjoy the fireplace except the people sitting on the sofa. Anywho, my Aunt and I decided over the Holiday to try a new layout. Her Mother really fought us on this idea, but despite her pushback (a lot of it) we tried it anyway. 😬 After it was all said and done, everyone ended up loving the new layout (whew!) and I felt a boost of confidence that I could help them feel better in their space. Our family from out of town came to visit the following week and everyone was able to sit in the room and see each other and have conversation without furniture disruption! This is a great example to my clients and a learning experience for me because One: Elderly people are very resistant to change and must be treated gently when introducing change to a space they have known for many years, and Two: that sometimes change is needed and brings new and better energy to your space. We did not purchase anything new, we only moved existing furniture and this took us about an hour.

My Cousin is having a baby girl soon and she asked me to help her with her nursery 🤗Of course I was very excited. The challenge is they are making room for baby girl in a walk-in closet! It is actually a VERY cute and cozy space for a nursery and I think it accommodates everything she will need just perfectly. She wanted rosy pink tones and whites with floral accents and this is what we came up with. 🌷🤍

This project was for a client's vacation rental out of the country. This little quaint house is in a village town with a natural hot spring which produces an orange clay. The goal was to avoid guests leaving orange stains on the sofa, towels and bedding. So we used the clay as the starting point for our color pallet and opted for a brown leather sofa, a similar color as the clay and easily wipeable! The client wanted a neutral color pallet with light natural tones and a new kitchen in white. The reddish tile floors were existing and staying put, but they work great with the color pallet and bring warmth to the white walls and pale wood tones. This space is tiny and has to serve as the living an dining room, so we kept the furnishings very small, and even though it is a tight space, 8 people could potentially sit in this room at once and one cooking in the kitchen! (probably wont be that many, but possible!)

I finally have most of the finishing touches in my dining room 😌 (I still need to find a piece of art for the wall). I love this room, finally. I made a photo collage of all of our vacations we have taken in the last couple of years and it makes it feel really special and we can sit and remember those trips. Joey also had some walking sticks that he had collected from the Philippines years ago, and we've never had a proper place to display them and now they go perfectly in our vacation corner! All of the items on the bar were gifts from our wedding and they make such a lovely display 🤗

I made a design for myself! This is my Dining Room. A long awaited project. And thanks to me getting married in a few weeks and my VERY generous friends & family, we are finally able to make our little Dining Room into an actual space we can use. It has served as my gym, a closet, & a catch-all room for far too long. So thank you to everyone who has contributed to making our space come alive. 🙏❤️ We are very excited to eat at a table! My handyman Husband (to be) has been diligently working on it for a few weeks. This is our plan. I will post updates!
