This kitchen is all about letting the materials do the talking.

We paired warm, detailed cabinetry with richly veined natural stone, carrying it from the countertops onto the backsplash and creating a statement moment behind the range. The copper farmhouse sink and aged brass finishes bring another layer of warmth, while the wood island keeps the space grounded.

Our studio loves working with materials that have character of their own. Rather than competing with the movement in the stone, every surrounding selection was made to complement it and give it room to be the focal point.

The result is a kitchen that feels collected, layered, and completely unique to this home.

A detail worth repeating.
Throughout this project, we carried Crystallo countertops into multiple spaces of the home, creating a consistent material story without making each room feel the same.

In this space, the movement and translucency of the Crystallo become part of a completely different design moment—paired with warm cabinetry, brass finishes, statement artwork, and the leaded-glass window.

At the studio, we love repeating key materials throughout a home. It creates a subtle connection from room to room while still giving each space its own identity. Cohesive, not repetitive.

Some of our favorite spaces to design are the smallest ones.

For this powder bath, we had the opportunity to be a little more expressive—wrapping the room in a scenic wallcovering, bringing in a furniture-style vanity, and finishing it with an ornate mirror and lighting that feels almost like jewelry against the walls.

At the studio, we never look at a powder bath as an afterthought. It’s a space guests experience up close, which makes it the perfect place to layer in details and take a few design risks.

For this project, we focused on creating a fireplace that felt like it had always belonged in the home. The natural stone became the focal point, while the surrounding millwork, layered trim details, and built-ins gave the entire wall a more architectural, finished feel.

We’re always looking beyond individual selections and thinking about how every detail works together. From the scale of the fireplace to the cabinetry surrounding it, each decision was made to create a space that feels collected, timeless, and true to the home.
A fireplace may be the focal point, but it’s everything around it that makes the room feel complete.

Every change in a remodel should have a reason behind it.
For this pantry, the goal wasn’t simply to make it prettier—it was to rethink how the space could function for our clients while making it feel like a true extension of their home.

We traded open shelving for cabinetry that creates more intentional storage, added countertop space for everyday use, and carried in rich finishes and thoughtful details so the pantry no longer felt like a space to hide behind a closed door.

The best transformations happen when we can take what a space needs to do and make it something you also love to look at.

What started as a dishwasher leak turned into a renovation filled with so much meaning.
A family heirloom chandelier had traveled with our clients from home to home, carefully packed away in a large crate with nowhere quite right to hang it.
When we began concepting the renovation, we saw an opportunity to finally give this piece the moment it deserved.
We designed a custom dome to create the perfect space for the chandelier—turning a treasured piece that had been stored away for years into a beautiful focal point of the home.
We love when design becomes more than creating a beautiful space. Sometimes, it’s about finding a way to bring the pieces that already hold a story back into everyday life.

Have you ever painted a room and had the color look completely different than you expect?
Paint isn’t just about the color on the swatch.
Natural light, the direction your windows face, your flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and even the type of light bulbs in your home all affect how that color appears.
We always evaluate the home’s finishes, test samples in the actual space, and observe them throughout the day before making a final decision.
The right choice often has less to do with the paint itself than the environment around it.

Choosing a paint color is only part of the conversation for us. We’re also thinking about how that color is going to live in the space.
How does the natural light hit it? What finishes are next to it? Is this a high-traffic area? Do we want the walls to feel soft and understated or have a little more dimension?
Matte, eggshell, and satin can make the exact same paint color look and feel completely different. These may seem like small decisions, but they’re the details we love working through for our clients—and they’re often what make the finished space feel just right.

One of the biggest mistakes homeowners make? Choosing paint first.
Paint should complement your flooring, countertops, cabinetry, tile and furnishings, not the other way around. With thousands of paint colors available, it's much easier to find the perfect shade once your fixed finishes are selected.

That's why we save paint selection for one of the final design steps. It creates a home that feels intentional, cohesive, and timeless.

One of the best parts of our job is helping clients lean into the ideas they love.

The Moody Project was all about embracing a darker palette and letting it carry through the entire kitchen.
Instead of trying to lighten the space, we leaned into the drama, then used texture, lighting, and contrast to bring it to life.
This is what happens when you trust the concept and let the design be what it was meant to be.
