The YoYo Waffle Cowl is composed of knit and slip stitches, creating a wonderful texture and colorplay that shifts in both the foreground and background. One single 330‑yard ball of our Iris Superwash Worsted is all you need. The pattern does work from both ends of the ball and you'll use just about every inch of the yarn, depending on your gauge.

Although the cowl looks like it’s worked entirely in the round, some of the “rounds” are actually worked flat. That structural twist is what gives the fabric its reversible character, with alternating dominant colors on each side.

The finished cowl measures a stretchy 44" in diameter and 6" tall. You can wear it long like a scarf or double it for extra warmth, and when doubled it’s just tall enough to cover the lower part of your face if you need a little protection from the wind.
