What most people see is the finished display—the candles lined up, the labels placed just right, the products arranged neatly, and a table ready for a busy craft show.
What they don’t always see are all the hours it takes to get there.
They don’t see the late nights spent making products after working a full day. The weekends filled with pouring candles, printing labels, checking inventory, packing boxes, planning displays, making lists, changing those lists, and hoping I haven’t forgotten anything. They don’t see the patience it takes when something doesn’t turn out right and I have to start over, or the determination it takes to keep working when I’m already exhausted.
Working full time while growing a small business isn’t always easy. Some days, it means coming home from one job and immediately getting to work on another. It means giving up free time, juggling responsibilities, and squeezing big dreams into whatever hours are left in the day.
But I do it because I truly love it.
Every candle I pour and every product I prepare carries a little piece of my heart. This business has given me something to be proud of, something to look forward to, and a dream that continues to grow with every order, every event, and every person who chooses to support me.
Getting ready for a craft show takes so much more work than what you see when you walk past the booth. It takes weeks of preparation, patience, creativity, worry, excitement, and a whole lot of hope. There are moments when I wonder if I’ve made enough, if people will stop by, and if all of those long hours will pay off—but then I remember why I started.
I also know that I wouldn’t be able to keep doing this without the people who continue to support me. To everyone who has purchased something, shared one of my posts, invited a friend, told someone about my business, or simply offered encouragement—thank you. Sharing my posts and helping spread the word may seem like a small gesture, but it makes a bigger difference than you probably realize.
When you support a small business, you aren’t just buying a product. You’re supporting someone’s dream. You’re encouraging them to keep going through the long nights, the stressful moments, and the times when giving up would be easier.
As this craft show gets closer, I’m feeling grateful, excited, and incredibly proud of everything that has gone into making this moment possible. No matter what happens, I know I’ve poured my heart into preparing for it, and that alone means more than I can put into words.
Thank you for believing in me, supporting CL Candles & More, sharing my work, and helping me get the word out. Every like, comment, share, recommendation, and purchase helps this little dream continue to grow. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. 🤎🍂🕯️
