Every patch of color, tiny strand of fur, and whisker was painted by hand in gouache. 🐱🎨

I love pet portraits because getting the markings right is only part of the challenge. The most important part is capturing the expression that makes their family immediately say, “That’s them.”

My calico has so many beautiful colors and details to paint.

Celebrating 80 years called for something BIG. 🤠⚾

I designed this hand-painted banner around Nico and some of the things that represent him.
The second photo shows the actual size—it is much larger than it appears when photographed by itself! Every detail was drawn and painted by hand, including the lettering and illustrations.

Lauren’s banner includes her cat and some of her favorite things, details chosen specifically for her. Everything was drawn and painted by hand.

My favorite part of custom artwork is taking the things that make someone feel like themselves and combining them into one piece that could belong to no one else. 🎨

Lately I’ve been feeling really excited to paint again 🎨❤️

Back in Bolivia, art was a huge part of my everyday life. I spent years creating commissioned pieces like portraits, hand-painted Bibles, keepsakes, restoration work, and honestly all kinds of painted projects.

After moving to the U.S., life changed a lot and rebuilding took time. I’ve still created here and there (some of you know me through Herky on Parade or recent projects 😊), but starting over somewhere new also meant slowly rebuilding my art life and community.

Now that life feels a little more stable, I finally feel ready to make more space for art again ❤️

So if you start seeing more paintings, weird ideas, projects, and creative experiments from me this summer… now you know why

Lately I’ve been having a lot of fun with hand-painted event banners and honestly… there’s just something really special about making something by hand for people you appreciate 🥹
