Welcome to Embrace by Vivian - Where all of life's imperfections are not only accepted, but celebrated.
This is a dream of mine that I've been searching for the courage to chase.
I fell in love with the process of creating art back in high school. I remember spending hours completely indulged in mixing colors, perfecting lines, and exploring new techniques. It was as if the rest of the world melted away and I was left with just the canvas in front of me.
So when I started at Grand Valley, Studio Art was the obvious choice for my major. Over time though, the pressure of creating art based on someone else's rubric started weighing on me, and what was once my sweet escape slowly turned into my greatest stressor.
Luckily, I was simultaneously leaning into psychology and had found a new love within the realm of education. I switched paths and ended up with a fulfilling and interesting career, which I couldn't be more grateful for.
I always promised myself that I would find my way back to creating in the way I had once loved. And in this season of life, I have felt such a pull to do so. Taking advantage of any free time to pour over hand painted portraits, jackets, and even a mural.
In leaning into this season of creativity, I am thrilled to share that I will be offering custom hand-painted portraits and jackets on commission. One of a kind pieces designed to capture and celebrate all of life's imperfect moments.
I am over the moon to be taking this leap and hope it is just the start of a grand adventure. Thank you to anyone who joins me on this endeavor.🤍
