What a wonderful evening spent with Maureen and Annie Sloan at Wednesday night! It was amazing to see Annie Sloan at and have a lovely chat with her and get some great photos. I haven’t see Annie since 2019 and she is as amazing as always. Now, you simply must stop into Signature Finishes in York, Maine the next time you are in the area. Maureen has the most beautiful store filled with decor, antiques and gifts. Yes, I spent $$$, as did my sister! We had fun and you will too!

I found this really nice pair of pheasant sculptures, but I didn’t like the bright gold finish. Annie Sloan dark wax to the rescue. I brushed on a light coating of dark wax, placing more wax in the edges and details. I like it much better. Tomorrow I will give each of them a buff and then my plans are to use them in my Fall tablescape. What do you think? Do you prefer the bright gold finish or the dark wax finish?
