Qualifications
• 18 years of age or older
• Current Driver's License and clean driving record
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with high attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including Saturdays to meet the needs of the business
• Ability to stand for an extended period
• Ability to lift 100 pounds frequently to move and handle boxes of merchandise throughout the store & warehouse
Responsibilities
• Must safely operate loading, unloading, and transfer equipment (forklifts, pushcarts, etc.). Must follow all safety precautions when loading and unloading freight.
• Team Member is responsible for checking incoming merchandise against packing slips to identify shortages, damaged goods, and backorders.
• Learn the correct location of products in stock.
• Stocking and putting away incoming merchandise.
• He/she must make sure the warehouses, as well as storage and check-in areas are neat, clean, and orderly.
• Assist with cleaning and organization of store showroom.
• Responsible for assisting customers and sales personnel with heavy and bulky merchandise.
• Load merchandise into customers' vehicles with care to avoid damage and maintain excellent customer service.
• Responsible for assembling grills and furniture for displays and customers.
• Keep work area and tools clean and organized.
• Perform and assist deliveries of merchandise to customer homes.
• Communicate with management, co-workers, and customers.
• Report any problems or complaints to management.
• Make suggestions for procedure changes when you believe such changes will improve sales, profits, efficiency, and/or morale, etc.
• Work on special projects assigned by your supervisor after determining their priority in relation to your other responsibilities.
