To My Family, Friends, and Community,

There are moments in life when words never seem enough. This is one of those moments.

The recent flooding that threatened Shawnee Country Barns Antique CoOp was heartbreaking. Watching the water rise and wondering what would happen to the business I’ve poured my heart into was something no family should have to experience. But in the middle of that uncertainty, something incredible happened—my community showed up.

First, I want to thank my husband, Shawn McIntyre, Assistant Chief of the Cambria Volunteer Fire Company. You never hesitate to answer the call, whether it’s for your community or for our family. Your strength, leadership, and calm during such a difficult time reminded me once again why I am so proud of you.

To my son, Josh McIntyre, Assistant Chief of the St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Company, thank you for dropping everything to help. Seeing you follow in your father’s footsteps with the same dedication and servant’s heart fills me with pride beyond words.

To my youngest son, Michael, thank you for working alongside everyone else without hesitation. Your willingness to help when we needed it most means more than you know.

A very special thank you to Sean Wilson, our manager. Your leadership, tireless work, and commitment to Shawnee Country Barns Antique CoOp never went unnoticed. You stood beside me through every exhausting hour, and I am incredibly grateful.

To the members of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company, Cambria Volunteer Fire Company, and St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Company, thank you for responding so quickly and working tirelessly to protect my business. Your dedication to serving others extends far beyond emergency calls, and I am forever grateful for your compassion and professionalism.

To every friend, family member, neighbor, vendor, and volunteer who came with shop vacs, pumps, brooms, buckets, towels, and willing hands—you made the impossible possible. You worked in the heat, soaked to the bone, never asking for anything in return. Because of your kindness and determination, you helped save not just a building, but years of memories, dreams, and the livelihood of so many people.

And to my father, Roger Belling—thank you for showing up within minutes. Your quick response, steady presence, and willingness to jump in without hesitation meant more than I can ever fully express. In a moment of chaos, you were there immediately, and I will never forget it.

I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to the property owners for your immediate support during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for recognizing the severity of the situation and for sending in a professional restoration and cleaning company to assist with the cleanup.

As I stood watching everyone work together, I couldn’t help but think of my mom, Rebecca Belling. Shawnee Country Barns Antique CoOp was her dream, built with determination, grit, and a love for bringing people together. Even though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in every board of these barns, every vendor who calls this place home, and every customer who walks through our doors. I truly believe she would have been overwhelmed with gratitude to see this community rally together to protect what she worked so hard to build. Saving this business wasn’t just about preserving a building—it was about honoring Rebecca’s vision, her passion, and the legacy she left for all of us to carry forward.

Shawnee Country Barns Antique CoOp has always been more than a business. It’s a gathering place, a home for our vendors, a destination for our customers, and a labor of love for my family. This week reminded me that it also belongs to an incredible community that truly cares.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for every hour you gave, every piece of equipment you brought, every encouraging word, every hug, every prayer, and every act of kindness.

I will never forget what everyone has done for us. Your generosity, compassion, and selflessness will forever be a part of the story of Shawnee Country Barns Antique CoOp. Together, we didn’t just save a business—we preserved a legacy that will continue for generations to come.

We will see everyone Thursday at 10am when we open the doors!

With heartfelt gratitude,

Kimberly McIntyre
