Here's a one-of-a-kind lamp that will brighten any decor and make your friends ask, "Have you lost your mind?". We found the base at a thrift store, the shade came from an old '50s lamp I had that broke during a move, and the hardware came from a Martha Stewart Made In China lamp that we took great delight in smashing. The base is glossy black with cream-colored hatch marks, the shade is lime green with cream-colored hatch marks, and the whole thing is fabulous and $65.

We're back after a long holiday hiatus (and by hiatus I mean I left the digital camera at home and kept forgetting to bring it back to the studio).

HCDG just loves the Mid-Century Modern look and we try to offer home decor in that style whenever possible. Here's a teakwood ice bucket and cheese tray that would look lovely in anyone's home.

Highland Colony Design Group proudly announce our first annual Christmas craft market. Come browse gifts and seasonal decorations hand-made by local artists, including pine-cone hearth baskets, cedar and candle table centerpieces, jewelry, soaps, artwork, upcycled Christmas decorations, and more. Get a mini-massage at the Islands Massage next door, or enjoy some hot mulled cider and baked goods while you shop. All proceeds from the sale of food and drinks will be donated to a local food pantry. Admission is free, but please bring a canned item or two to donate to the food pantry. 303 9th Street (corner of C Street) downtown North Wilkesboro. Friday and Saturday, November 25 and 26 from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, December 2 and 3 from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. The design studio will be open those days as well. We are sponsoring a Christmas gift and craft market the weekend after Thanksgiving and the first weekend of December in downtown North Wilkesboro.
