We’ve got one with an injury and one enjoying some much deserved vacation and then there’s Vic 😬…

With holiday deliveries coming in and the shop filling up for fall Vic’s and her grandkids will be mostly holding down the fort for a few hours each day while the deliveries come in.

Please call first. Hours will most likely be 11-2/3ish Thursday - Saturday.

For months, I’ve been hearing the same conversations across retail and beyond.

Something feels off. Ordering less. Traffic is down. Online sales are slow. Businesses, big and small, are closing. The algorithm. Tariffs. Price increases.

What if I told you we’ve been here before? More than once. And every time, the cycle eventually shifted.

After nearly 30 years in business, I’ve learned to recognize the patterns. Recently, I discovered the Juglar Cycle, an economic cycle identified over 100 years ago that mirrors so much of what I’ve experienced firsthand. Every 7 to 11 years, businesses naturally move through periods of expansion, contraction, and renewal. I couldn’t help but see the parallels to the seasons we experience in both business and life.

On 7/20, I’m hosting another Buds & Business Tea Time Chat to explore these cycles, how we recognized winter in our own business, how we prepared for it, and what came next.
