Sometimes I feel like a chew toy. Then I remember I have it a lot better than most and wonder how I can help those less fortunate than myself.

Children in the foster care system have been a strong focus for me since learning I couldn't be a foster parent due to moving around for different jobs so often. About to happen again so maybe they're right. This post isn't about that.

Instead it's about One Simple Wish. They aren't kidding when they say "simple." I looked through some of the wishes being made and my jaw dropped. Kids asking for things that would be simple for a doting parent would get for their own child.

My plan of attack is:
1. Secure employment.
2. Set aside my daily indulgence allowance (coffee, yarn, etc.)
3. Gather it monthly to see if I can fulfill any wishes.
4. Any remaining funds would be used for next month's wish.

And because the holidays are coming up (113 days until the big bearded guy in the red suit can breathe easy), you might want to consider their gift card option where you can gift someone with the ability to gift others. Perfect for that person who has everything.

In anticipation of becoming bistitchual next week, I bought a pattern book for socks.

While I do have plenty of sock yarn on hand, I kinda forgot I don’t usually have a driver. Hoping the designer won’t mind if I’m making a majority of these from my couch.

Love that the book has a hardcover appearance yet when you open it, it’s spiral bound. So much handier. Also love that the designer shares a bit of how the design came to be.
