New month, big announcement!!Something new is taking shape at Nest, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it!

Jessica Affatato is launching her new business, Weaver, with a Small Business Workshop Series created for Long Island entrepreneurs, makers and small business owners. We’re truly honored that Jessica has chosen Nest as the home for Weaver’s launch and delighted to collaborate with her by providing a welcoming space for these workshops.

Our relationship with Jessica goes back many years, to her days teaching Harbor Cheese mozzarella-making classes at Nest. Since then, we’ve watched her continue to grow, learn and build, and we’re so proud to welcome her back for this exciting new chapter.

This four-part series offers practical tools, honest guidance and real-world insight from someone who truly understands the small business journey.

The series begins Saturday, September 26 with From Idea to Income, followed by workshops focused on avoiding burnout, pricing with confidence, and navigating the legal and tax basics of building a business.

We love seeing creativity, community and new ideas come together under our roof, and we’re thrilled to provide the space for Jessica to bring Weaver and this valuable new resource to our local small business community.

A wonderful read, a beautiful French setting and a very special collaboration are coming together at Nest! 🍷📚

Join us for our September Book Club featuring The Lost Vintage by Ann Mah, a captivating dual-timeline novel filled with family secrets, French winemaking and history.

We’re especially excited to collaborate with another local Northport business owner, Joe VanRoten of Moksha Cafe, for this memorable evening hosted alongside Michele, our Book Whisperer at Nest. Guests may also choose to enjoy an optional guided tasting of three wines inspired by the Burgundy region, led by Joe, an award-winning, dual-accredited sommelier.

Beginner Crochet Mini Pumpkins with Amanda of Creative Retreat. Learn the basics of crochet and make one or two adorable pumpkins to take home. No experience necessary. Ages 16 and up.
