Nearly two years ago on October 26th 2024 I spent the morning alone in the studio and brought to life this piece. Earlier that morning I let go of a suffocating personal entanglement and further devoted my life to Christ. In those two years life has radically changed and with that so has the goal and outflow of the studio.
That morning as I stood alone listening to the rowers crawl across the river I allowed the sun to hit my face and knew life would never be the same. In these two years not one aspect of my life has remained the same. Loving my family has become easier, trusting the divine orchestration of life slowly grew to be second nature; and, the realization that I deserve to be unabashedly myself settled deeply into my soul.
I think it is no surprise I have been quieter on Three Roots over these past two years and that is no mistake. I’ve taken time to train my tongue, discern what the message of Three Roots should be and taken time to unpack what I want from this slice of the creative world.
Our goal is still to design expansive and sustainable wedding flowers for couples in Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island but the vision has grown. As important as the flowers are I am not realizing how integral the individual couples are too. Flowers for your wedding truly are my creative conduit to honor your story and the one you are stitching together with your spouse and they deserve the attention and honor of genuine dedication.
We are still here, we are still designing weddings and we are still devoted to creating sublime wedding flower design suites. However, our world view has softened, our dream of floral world domination shifted and the desire to serve couples intensified. I promise to share more musings of these inner workings soon. And I hope to hear from all of you. The team and I would love to be part of your wedding day.
We are still the same group of zany wedding florists but, I like to think we’ve grown up too, and thank God for thegift of perspective and growth.
