Wanted to share my latest card design for tomorrow's stampin class. I love the shape of the frame ...not exactly an oval but very close. Took a little fiddling to figure out the size of the inner segments and I am pleased how it turned out. Aren't those violets lovely? Such a fresh little image.

Had a fun day today prepping for an upcoming stampin session. I did lose quite a bit of time trying to identify the name of a particular die set but hooray! I found it. Now i'm trying to decide which materials to use. Leaning toward the Framed Violets set...so delicate, so pretty! Once I get it worked up into a model for the class, I'll share it with you. I think it's gonna be lovely...fingers crossed.

Thanks to the "mermaid" ladies who joined me yesterday at water aerobics class (sorry none of the warm water therapy gals chose to join us) to make a FREE greeting card from a choice of 5 designs. I knew the crab and lobster card would be the favorite choice! These gals got to enjoy a quickie card while helping me meet a challenge from the leader of one of my online business classes. They all seemed to enjoy this fun activity.

The ladies at the senior living facility made the Ferris wheel card I posted the other day. The tricky part was sticking the colored cars onto the wheel..they are soo tiny. Unfortunately, I do not have 10 Take Your Pick Tools, nor do I have 10 pairs of tweezers. What to do? My family always teased me that the motto of occupational therapists was "OT's make doing possible" so here is what I did. These are small pegs with a little ball of fun tack on the end. The ladies put a dot of glue where the car needed to be placed then used the stick to pick up the car and place it on the wheel. Easy Peasy!!! Only one lady complained that I didn't have tweezers..the rest thought it was a very handy solution. OT's still make doing possible!

Hi Stampin Friends (and lurkers who should give this joy a try!). Earlier today (like every day) while getting my day started, I was watching a utube video made by a very perky and talented lady. She was demoing how to make a card using a particular layout when she decided to add a punched tag to the card. Great idea! But I was horrified when she grabbed a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 piece of cardstock and a 2" handheld punch. She shoved the whole punch all the way into the center of the cardstock and punched once. Aaauuuggghhh!
I am not a million dollar sales person in part because I try always to guide stampers to make their works of (he)art in the thriftiest way possible. No waste, no unnecessary weight on your card increasing your postage. Yes multiple layers are wonderful but if adding those layers delays you sending the card to a person who needs cheering, I say, skip some of the layers and get that baby out in the mail!!! Sorry...honest but true. I once knew a stamper who so outdid her creations that she intimidated others and scared them away from this generous craft. I like to stamp out isolation and mail joy. Wouldn't you like to be the source of joy for someone else, too. Right now Stampin' Up has selected designer series papers on sale. I love to save a bit on my supplies. Go to peggyouten.stampinup.net to shop....or join me at one of my classes. Next class Aug 30 at 2pm.
