Hagia Sophia .....The Church of the Holy Wisdom was built by Emperor Justinian between 532 to 537 AD .....5 year construction period can house a 16 story building within it's interior......St Peter's in Rome was built almost 1000 years later and took 100 years to build !🎉
All the principles that built St Peters in Rome and Gothic Cathedrals were contained in Hagia Sophia , but 300 & 100 years after the Great Church of Hagia Sophia ......unfortunately recently return to it's past temporary past status as a Mosque ....very Sad ! The most popular tourist attraction in Istanbul......

A new Icon of Orthodox Christian Faith is under development in Olmsted Township Ohio!

This Romanian Orthodox community just outside of Cleveland is expanding their current facilities with a new Church Temple designed in a traditional Byzantine Orthodox and Romanian heritage. As a signature feature of all Orthodox Churches, the dome is a key architectural element in the design. The exterior facade features arched recesses that will allow the church to be adorned with iconography on the exterior as well in the interior. Along with the Church, the existing facilities will be receiving an expansion to accommodate the growth the community has been experiencing and will allow for continued growth into the future. The entire 10-acre site is well located in Metro Cleveland proximate to the Airport and its design is already hailed as a Landmark dedicated to the Glory of God, to the parish, and the community at large.

We’re honored and thrilled to be working with the dedicated leadership of the community of St. Ephraim Orthodox Church, in the historic community of San Antonio. This Parish as a beacon of Orthodoxy has worked together with CJK to design a stunning CJK AXIOS Church Prototype. This new sanctuary rooted in the 6th century features a majestic double bell tower that frames the Exo Narthex entry and a central dome with fenestration that floods the space with God’s Light. This landmark Church Temple will be auspicious in a historic City of Historic places, will support the growing Orthodox community, and offer a special place for worship and fellowship. Join us as we celebrate achievements of this incredible parish and its faithful journey in creating Heaven on Earth!

Discover the timeless Orthodox beauty of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in S**o, Maine. The Byzantine Ethos and Format adorned with local indigenous materials, through the utilization of local cedar shingles layered out with traditional byzantine patterns to synthesize history with local materials. As the Crown of this Building the stunning dome is emblematic of Heaven creating a God illuminated sacred space to the graceful surfaces and arches adorned with magnificent Iconography. The synthesis of many details reflects the incredible creation of CJK ‘s Design. Beyond the beauty and majesty of the exterior & interior, there is a full passive cooling and heating system that is comprised of radiant heating and cooling as well automatic operating windows in the dome to provide ventilation on few hot Maine days! A special community with incredible leadership.
