The less ambitious lounge and leer,
With dreams so small they disappear.
No peaks to scale, no stars to seize,
They’d rather beg than bend their knees.
They scoff at sweat, at toil’s grim call,
“Why strive?” they smirk, “we’ll take it all.”
A hand-out’s fine, no need for strife,
They’ll coast along on others’ life.
Socialist hymns hum through their days,
Equal shares for unequal ways.
No shame in sloth, no guilt to bear,
They’ll claim the fruit but won’t prepare.
Oh, pity them, these lords of slack,
With empty hands and spines that lack.
They’ll take the crumbs, they’ll take the crown,
But never lift to earn their own.
