When you are an avid photographer you welcome the opportunity to shoot new subjects. Your creative juices flow and you welcome any thing that stimulates your imagination. Looking at my new acquaintance I am amazed of how something so rustic can be so breathtaking! And its gentleness ... reminds me of what a triceratops dinosaur might have been like. Just look into these eyes. They are gentle, non-threatening. And it eats my weeds too! How cool is that!

Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. At times though all it takes is to contemplate, really contemplate. That is when we start to appreciate the wrinkles in our elders, the cracked skin in our farm laborers, or the delicate details on this prehistoric beast. Native to all warm climates in Central, and South America, it is considered a nuisance by many in South Florida. Still, aren't they pretty?
