39 years ago, I met this wonderful woman. We were 19 (me) and 18. We both played viola. We studied with the same teacher Jeffrey Irvine and yesterday he brought us back together, along with dozens of others who he taught and nurtured throughout the years.
Yesterday, I got to tell my teacher something I had never said to him: I love you, and I thank you for helping me create the life I have today. Today I got to tell my friend in the photo (Amanda) how much I love her.
Folks, don’t wait to say I love you. Don’t wait to say thank you. Don’t wait to cry those happy tears together. Do it today, right now.
The world needs more expressions of love. I’m glad I got to show mine yesterday and today.
Love hard. Live in loving ways. Practice radical, healing love. Let’s love each other through it all.
