🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 We Will Never Forget. 🇺🇸
Today, we honor the 2,977 innocent lives taken far too soon, the families who kissed someone goodbye that morning never knowing it would be the last time, and the countless lives forever changed by the events of 9/11.
We honor the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, first responders, military members, and ordinary Americans who became extraordinary heroes when our country needed them most.
Some ran away from unimaginable danger.
Others ran straight toward it.
They climbed those stairs knowing others were desperately trying to get down. They carried strangers. They held hands. They prayed. They searched through rubble for days and weeks. And years later, many continued paying the price through illnesses caused by what they breathed and endured at Ground Zero.
We remember the passengers and crew of Flight 93, who learned what was happening and made the courageous decision to fight back sacrificing themselves and potentially saving countless others.
We remember the Pentagon. We remember the Twin Towers. We remember Shanksville.
But we also remember September 12th.
For a moment, we weren't Democrats or Republicans. We weren't divided by race, religion, money, status, or opinions.
We were Americans.
Flags hung from porches. Strangers hugged strangers. Churches filled. People donated blood, food, money, and time. We checked on our neighbors. We prayed together. We stood together.
Twenty-five years later, I pray we never become so consumed by our differences that we forget what unity once looked like.
Today isn't about politics.
It's about people. Sacrifice. Courage. Loss. Faith. And remembrance.
To every life lost, every family left behind, every survivor carrying memories most of us could never understand, every first responder who ran toward the unimaginable, and every warrior who answered our nation's call afterward:
We remember you. We honor you. We thank you.
Teach your children about that day. Say their names. Tell the stories of the heroes. Fly the flag. Hug your people a little tighter.
Because “Never Forget” cannot simply be something we post once a year. It has to mean something.
🇺🇸 9•11•2001 🇺🇸
25 years later, we still remember. We still honor. And we will NEVER forget.
God bless the fallen.
God bless the warriors.
God bless the families who carry the scars.
And God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
