I have always loved the beach and the ocean and in the past few years I took up surfing. On my long days at the beach, I began to start collecting unique pieces of driftwood. As time went on, I started to make simple items for friends and family as gifts. I am a lawyer that has always looked for a creative outlet. As I started to get more requests from friends an family, I started to make more intricate pieces. I love coming home from a long day at the office and winding down with my driftwood and creating these items. Each item I make, takes me back to salty days of summer, beach, my surfboard. Addy's heart became one with mine 3 years ago today. It never gets easier but life presses on. The other week I went on to for the first time in over 3 years to set up an account for Rosie. I had never been able to bring myself to memorialize Addy's account and I finally did that day. It rocked me to the core, one of those messy bows that was never tied up. A few days later flowers arrived from Chewy honoring Addy. I guess it was what I needed to prepare for this 3 year anniversary, Addy was preparing me for today. She's always preparing, help and teaching me, especially when it comes to Rosie and her puppy ways

I see you everywhere, Addy. Even in South Africa a few weeks ago, you showed up - a white butterfly on the prettiest plant.

3 years ago, this man walked into my life. A few months before that, I worked through a journal called Single is my Super Power. After some deep soul searching and doing the journal, I knew what I was looking for in a partner, but I never imagined that God would bring him to me so quickly.

One of the journal pages I had to answer was: Be honest...what do you want right now? What is your gut reaction to this question?

I want a true equal partner for life who appreciates, respects, adores, and wants me. SOmeone who values my time, success, intelligence, body, and well-being. Who is invested in being better & growing as an individual and partner.

Another question was: What are 5 non-negotiable qualities you look for in someone TODAY? What do those look like in someone TODAY (not tomorrow)? What does that person do and say TODAY?

Asks about me/my day/Addy

Has Integrity

Loves Family & Friends Big & Hard - they are a huge part of his life

Jeremiah is all of the above and more. Those were only 2 of the questions. I took pictures of several other questions months after meeting him, in total shock how he aligned with so much that I wrote. All I know is that I love this man deeper than I ever thought I could, and I know he loves me the same. We aren't always perfect, but we always show up for each other in our most real and authentic ways.   

He sent me this yesterday, and it couldn't be more fitting:

It has only been 3 years, but it feels like you were always there in my heart and soul. ❤️
