Standard pool cage screens block bugs but let almost all the heat through. By the time you would want to be out there with a cold drink, the deck is 95 degrees and the chairs are too hot to sit on.

Summer's here, and school's about to let out... which means three months to fill and a lot of ways to fill them!

So we went out, tested the best Orlando has to offer, threw in a few personal favorites, and put it all in one place.

Springs 30 minutes from downtown that stay 72 degrees all year. Water parks that light up and run slides after dark. Kayak tours on Merritt Island, where the water glows under the paddle around the new moon. Free Friday movies at Lake Eola, carillon concerts at Bok Tower, and a real drive-in still running two screens down in Lake Wales.

Kids' days, date nights, solo afternoons, friend group nights out. It's all in there!

New rides, free outdoor movies, glow nights at the water parks, ice cream trails, sunset sails, kayak tours through glowing water. There is more going on this summer than any one family, couple, or group of friends could get through in three months. So we put together a list.
