Today’s rescue:

This adorable vintage nightstand 😁

It was cute enough before but unpainted vintage wood furniture is a tough sell 😔 so it got a makeover with Fusion mineral paint in the color Acadia Pear.
The lighting in the garage isn’t the greatest but yes it’s green 🤭

I may or may not need an intervention 😂

Yesterday I went to meet a woman to pick up something I bought from marketplace for myself. Well wouldn’t you know it, there was a Goodwill like 3 doors down in the strip mall so of course I ran in for a couple minutes till it was time to meet her.

I saw this cute vintage puppy cookie jar and said no it’s big and bulky, it’s breakable, it’s not something I need for my booth… so I left it.

And of course I thought about it. all. night. long.

Yes. I was there at 9 when they opened today and it was still there! 🎉
It’s got a small chip on the lid which was a major bummer but I said oh well it’s still cute I can use it for dog treats 😁

I found some other things while I was there, then hit up my 2 favorite Goodwills plus a Restore. I came home with a bunch of goodies to remake or upcycle, and a bunch of things that I’ll be keeping for myself 🤪

Today’s rescue:

Another take on the ‘Christmas Is Here’ stencil.

I painted the frame and loved it but there was too much empty space around the stencil.
I kept trying to find something to add to fill it but nothing seemed right.
Then I pulled out these metal decorative pieces that came from my dad’s stash and they were perfect once I painted them the same color as the frame!

Today’s rescue:

I picked up this huge (28x35) bulletin board last year because I loved the shape and I’m always on the hunt for big enough surfaces for my bigger stencils.

The fabric was all full of holes with some discolored spots where pins were maybe rusting and some permanent dents in the padding.
The frame is plastic so I was hoping I wouldn’t break it trying to dismantle the thing!

There was no actual board under that padding so I was going to have to cut one.

Luckily I didn’t break the frame and I was able to find a thin board in my stash to cut for my new surface. The arch wasn’t even that tricky to cut😁

It’s one of my favorite stencils but it’s nearing the end of its life and I’m not sure how many more times I can use it 😩

Another day of working on many projects at once 😁
While my resin cures so I can remove from the mold, I’ll be painting and whatnot on other things.
And yes…I’m already working on Christmas 😜
