Completed job today ! Covered old tile with LVP . Primed all the tile , applied skim coat to fill in the grout joints and any uneven areas. Primer is really important to allow the leveler to adhere to the ceramic tile surface . Once it's dry then we lay down the moisture barrier and then the LVP. the finished product is a flat and even surface the owners will enjoy for many years ! Took delivery on a large job we are contracted to do. Large formate floors. When I was an installer I went to work for a large flooring retail store I worked there for almost 17 years . The first year or so I did replacement jobs . Jobs that were product and installation related defects . That year I learned a lot about customers and how to handle problems . One of the main problems that I wanted to correct when I went into business was being involved in the installation process. Stop by my customers home everyday till the job is complete . This simple step elimated product defects being installed , subfloor problems corrected before installation. Why am I seeing nothing but negative content about messed up jobs on Facebook ? Eveytime I remove a page another pops up. I don't want to focus on negative content . Creators let's do better and show the good our trade does !
