My name is Ernest Bakker. I was born in Holland and moved to America in 1947. I began painting during the pandemic at the age of 84!!! and specialize in Dutch Art.
In late 2023, my dear wife Kathy Bakker, was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. The cancer has spread to her lungs and while she has handled things so well, we are struggling.
For the past few years I've been traveling to art festivals to sell my paintings. But with her condition worsening, I need to stay home and care for her. The combination of her medical costs and the lost income from going to festivals has taken its toll on us financially.
My family suggested I start this page to sell my art to help us out.
I love being an artist and put so much time and love into each piece. I hope you find it in your heart to both fall in love with a piece of art as well as be moved to help us out.
