This isn’t your grandma’s Frankoma! Have you seen the vibrant yellow and glossy black Frankoma pieces we recently added to our booth?? 👀
These strike us as having a very MCM feel with the bright colors and the lines of the pieces! They would really pop against a grey or white background, or they would mix nicely with other bright colors. 🎨
We also have one piece (lilac-colored soup/sandwich tray) in what we believe is the less common Wisteria glaze that was only made from 1983-1985! We also have a few neat pieces in the more traditional Desert Gold glaze, including two butter dishes and a cute little pitcher and bowl set.
Made from Oklahoma clay in Oklahoma, Frankoma Pottery is Oklahoma’s original art pottery! John Frank and his family started this company in 1933 in Norman, Oklahoma and eventually moved to Sapulpa to be closer to the source of the clay, which came first from Ada and then from Sapulpa. The company survived two devastating fires at their plants, WWII, and financial hardships but persevered and created many functional and beautiful objects, all here in our home state!
Find this and much more at Mandevilla Memories, booth #5503/7669 in the south building, at Red Barn Market! Thanks for looking!
