This outdoor day bed was bought from my client for 75$. We sanded it down, stained it a million times, and lacquered it a million more times. I spent a lot of time creating comfort, and stability to be an outdoor door piece. It was custom made all the way through; and I’m thinking we would have saved time and money to just build the wood from scratch; but it is a true antique, and I’m glad we did all the work to make it a piece that will last a couple of decades in the elements. All the foam is specifically outdoor grade and anti microbial to avoid mold!! It is 90 inches long and 50 inches deep. This sucker is huge!! Can’t wait to get pics of my client and her family hanging out in it!! thanks and thanks to my step daughter Sage for sanding this beast down.

had this bench seat that she wanted us to reupholster. She specified that she wanted us to do something fun with it, and that this is a keepsake that she is just attached to. I took it on for Chuck to do. She picked out all of the vinyl herself, prepped, padded, tailored, and upholstered this all on her own with a little guidance. Literally she did that damn thing!! No one in the history of me teaching and apprenticing has someone grown so fast. I’m proud her all the time, but this one wasn’t even an easy piece I would say. Zodiac Naugahyde is hard to work with. She got lots of practice with the heat gun on this one. Zodiac doesn’t move at all without heat. Imagine how far she will get in a year if this is her first 6 months into apprenticeship.

My birthday this year just filled my heart in a way I haven’t felt since Mom’s passing. I did a crab broil, went to Dallas with my in laws, my kids, and . Had great dinners and played games with the kids. and the kids made me a strawberry cake from scratch. It was what they called a “strawberry shortcake”. A home made strawberry compote, strawberry funfetti, and strawberry butter cream icing. It was my favorite strawberry cake anyone has made me to date! If you know me well, this is a tradition I have had since I was 3 years old. On my birthday day I woke up at the butt crack of dawn and upholstered 35 dining room seats at before they opened with . is working on a story, or two I’m sure, and showed up to video the chaos for an onsite upholstery repairs. Go follow him, he is so super talented!! Then I was “dugout mom” for the last lady Outlaws’s game of the season. Coach invited me to take a pic with the girls to thank me for being dugout mom for the season. I felt so loved for my birthday this year. I feel grateful for what I have right now, and I can say I earned the peace and love I felt for my birthday this year.

A supposed “professional” got their hands on this headboard and messed it up in so many ways I don’t even know where to start. They made this headboard “foldable” so he could fit it in his car, and he just botched the whole job. My kids would do a better job for sure!! They also paid more than I charged by around 500$. called me up to fix it. I have to throw the headboard in the trash, because nothing was salvageable. This was a fun little ditty!

Went to Dallas for a quick trip with the in-laws and all my kids. One of my kids being ! Didn’t get even one pic with the in-laws and us, but we did an insane virtual reality room that was stranger things themed. It was so damn fun!!! Got to see the new pornographers minus Neko Case, which made me sad! Me and smidge got hit on by dudes in their late 50’s that weren’t even kind of attractive, and Lauren walked up, thank god, and they jetted faster than A spirit airline flight on their last day of business. We smoked ci**rs, they smoked cigs… hell, it was a great time!! The kids@got their own night with their grandparents. Everything was super fun!!

Well Mom, today the whole family laughed at how crazy you were sometimes. Everyone had an “unfortunate event” about the edibles you use to make, which always gets me in stitches. (I nnnnnnnnever took my mom’s homemade edibles, everyone else was just too dumb to know better). Lennon made you a card saying she hoped you were enjoying all of your favorite things in heaven; one was cupcakes, and one was “drugz”. 💊🤪😬😆😆😆😆😫😫😫 we all miss you, and I we loved you just the way you were.

7 years ago today, I went on a date with I took my bike, but I took the backseat off to not get tempted to give her a ride. Well, we went to like 5 places in the paseo as we walked around. At the end of the night, I couldn’t even help but to like her so much I offered her a ride home on my bike. Hahahahah! I fu**in rrrrrrrrealllllllly took her on a ride too! She was laughing hysterically back there in my sparkle green helmet, sitting right on my lowered softail fender. I thought “this girl is insane, and I think I want to keep her”. For the next several years we spent our time together and weekends on that bike, just being the adrenaline junkies that we are together. You are the best Mom I know, the best baker I know, the best wife I know, the hottest wife, the absolute sweetest, the most loving person, and you have been my best friend since day one. I know that forever is something I try not to say, but I hope I love you the same way I do today for forever. Love you, my Strawberry Ghoul!! Ps: it’s been so nice to see you happy lately and free of things that make you miserable! I hope to always be able to provide you with that!
