Sew Loved and I have been talking about this kitchen built in banquette for about a month. No one else in the city was willing to upholster this piece in her house. So she reached out to Crystal C**n , and she suggested me (thanks Crystal!).
The other day she reached out to ask if I could do it before guests came over during this week, which was just a few work days away. I laughed at first, but then I said, “you know what, yes!”. Am I the only one that loves stress enough to just jump into the flames? I told her she needed to get me fabric by Monday morning. They sold her outdoor canvas. Granted, it was Sunbrella , and they have a wide variety of fabrics that are the same composite of materials that make it durable and bleachable… let me be clear, we do NOT use canvas material for home furniture, because it will always end up looking like your patio furniture. Canvas is very limited on workability, and never looks wrinkle free. When me and Makenzie Miller measured for the banquette, I knew exactly what material would fit the home best. I got to the shop and sent her the picture of it, and she felt the same way!! She spent weeks looking for a fabric she liked, so I’m pretty proud of my gut instinct, and fabric knowledge. This fabric is a hurculon cut velvet. Hurculon is a monofilament that is made of olefin. The material is durable, and bleachable, which is a large appeal for Sunbrella products. I have a minor in textile science, and it really helps in complicated situations such as this one. They weren’t able to return the canvas material, so I offered to do her dining room chairs for free! I care way tooooooo much of what my work looks like. I could have just slapped that canvas on, made it look pucker free before I left; but one person sitting on it would have made it look like patio furniture. I would have lost sleep!! I don’t mind making things right for my customers at my expense. It’s the right thing to do. Thanks Sew Loved for trusting me to get this done for you in time!

Hey, I made a new friend today. Emily Mathews is a fu***ng badass! In fact she really impressed me. We road up to Tulsa on Route 66. She is confident on her bike, and fu***ng hung in there with my crazy ass like we had been riding together for years! Sometimes you just click with a rider, and I did just that today. We talked on our Cardo Systems for 6 hours straight. I got to ride with her, and get to know her while doing so. I think this is what makes life worth living. The feeling of riding with someone with skills is exhilarating. Emily, thank you so much for taking the time to come out and ride with me and my wife. We will have many more of these adventures together! If you all follow her and think she looks like a badass, you are exactly right! Go give her a follow, and if you need a realtor, she is your girl!! She has a great business going, kids, a husband, and still makes times to burn up some pavement.

Meet the new addition to Krysta Henry !!! She doesn’t have a name yet, so I’m open to name ideas!! She is fully set up to do work on jobsites, as you can see! It’s a Mercedes freightliner 2500 diesel. I’m ready to get some decals and put her to some hard manual labor. Very clean, very well kept!! I’ve been waiting for this day for a couple of years.

This companies excuse to the designer was “what you designed is impossible to do in that space. Listen, if you can’t deliver what the client wants, move out of the way and let the companies that can do the work. Not only did they gaslight the designer about their lack of craftsmanship, they didn’t reimburse a penny of the cost back to them; so, this client had to pay twice for this job.
This wasn’t an easy project at all. How to achieve this look is very hard to do. I sweetened the pot and put the best materials into it. The seat is a composite of polyurethane foam at 65 pounds, with a 2.5 in cooling memory foam top. 7 inch seat. The back is 3 different types of foam; with a wedge cut hr 90 pound to shape the pitch, then 1.5 inch polyurethane 40 pound foam, topped with the same 2.5 inch cooling memory foam used for the seat. It sits like a literal dream. When I installed it, it fit like a damn glove. Thanks to Makenzie Miller for the help this week, and killer install skills. I love making home furniture! It’s been a minute since I built a sofa from scratch. Design Directions Interior Design & Remodeling Oklahoma City did a killer job on designing this home. Too bad she didn’t know me before the other company botched it. This company follows me, so I know you will see it. Do better, man… at least try to make it right!!!

Two big onsite jobs in the bag this week!! I was very grateful for the AC on both sites. Me and Chuck had the whole damn shop in both of our vehicles all week. So jobs you have to bring a little bit of everything, and somehow we always manage to forget something. It never fails!! 😆 I did a good amount of carpentry work on this little banquette. We prepped, tailored, and upholstered this whole piece in one day. From design to finish, every piece was done on site. There really isn’t many shops that can do this, and to be honest, I see why!! It is a whole different skill to be able to tackle something like this onsite, all at once. I’m pretty proud of this one. I had Chuck running all over this state this week, literally.

3 years without Sinead O’Connor, and I still cry about her death alone in my car. Sure, it’s silly to cry about someone you never knew? She was something this world needed. She was shunned for calling out the catholic leaders for hiding pedophiles behind vales,
And causing many other world atrocities. She gave up fame and fortune, to help the world. She spent her time and money in impoverished communities, teaching children who have nothing how to rise out of poverty with knowledge. I’m not sure if you all watched her memorial in Ireland, but just about every flag was there!! She was a person who took up for everyone. In 1991 public enemy was set to play the Grammys, and they refused to play them, because “they are just a bunch of thugs”, so Sinead o Connor had a very large “public enemy” site circle drawn on the side of her head in protest. She always said rap and hip hop was her greatest influence. To me, Sinead o Connor embodied the perfect artist. Today, I honor Sinead!! Sinead O'Connor

This is Vicente Blends they are new to the market. The market says “you can’t come right out of the gates with cigar price points of 45-55$.”, and Vicente Blends blends said “hold my cigar!”. My introduction to the brand was my boys at ZT Ci**rs Todd said “this is the best cigar brand we’ve ever had in the shop”, and if you know ZT boys, sometimes they are sarcastic… so I laughed and said “we will see about that”. Went home smoked one, and my mind was freaking blown. I called them and told them I thought they were bull$hitting me, and they were spot on! My favorite ci**rs of 2026 by far! I can’t tell you my favorite blend of theirs, because I love them equally. That black band with the blue stones is the most insane cigar I’ve tried in a while. It hasn’t hit the market yet. At a price point of 120$, I’m gonna by one or two for sure. I was lucky to had been at the sip and smoke where the Vicente Blends rep and owner was there to meet everyone. I had questions for sure. It’s a ballsy company that could have been easily laughed out of the humidor with those prices, but they stand apart from everyone. My first question was “why are they rolled so loosely. They are a very squishy cigar, but his answer was smart. He said that one thing ci**rs need is air, and the more air that the ci**rs have will push out the old smoke and create a “first draw” type of pallet. It definitely does!! These ci**rs are far from traditional. They are rolled with so many different blends. He said sometimes he just adds a quarter filler in the smokes that are unique, right in the middle of the cigar. They are unlike anything on the market, and I love a good packaging “gimmick”. All their ci**rs come with a very nice metal ring. I have so many of them I just decided to stack them on my cane. I tried to see if they would fit my daughter’s Barbie’s like a crown, but they don’t fit. I’ve bought a few boxes so far. Pallet: I will say, all of them are creamy, fruity, and just give of the most crazy flavors. Sometimes it’s vanilla right in your face, and two minutes later it will taste like a fruity latte.
