❤️ HELPING OUR NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES ❤️

I took a load of donations to the Mill in Metamora this morning. The generosity has been incredible, and the folks at the Mill are so grateful. Donations are going out to people in need just as quickly as they’re coming in.

I’ll continue collecting donations at A Beautiful World TODAY from 10 AM–4 PM. I plan to drop off again tomorrow morning.

One of the biggest needs right now is MOPS, but all supplies are needed.

🧹 Cleaning supplies requested:
• Bleach
• Clorox/disinfecting wipes
• Rags & towels
• Murphy Oil Soap
• Mops & buckets
• Scrub brushes & sponges
• Rubber/work gloves
• Heavy-duty garbage bags
• Disinfectants
• Paper towels
• Other useful flood-cleanup supplies

These supplies will be made available to residents working to clean and recover their homes and businesses.

🛠️ CLEANUP EQUIPMENT

The Mill is also organizing cleanup equipment that residents can check out, use, and return so it can continue circulating throughout the community.

Equipment currently includes:
• Sump pumps
• Fans
• Dehumidifiers

🥪 They are also in need of supplies for the people working and cleaning up, including ready-to-eat food, snacks, bottled water and drinks, paper plates, disposable cups and utensils, paper towels, trash bags and cleaning supplies.

Laurel Community Center is also accepting donations, so if that location is more convenient for you, please consider helping there as well.

We’re in the early stages of putting together a fundraising effort surrounding this graphic tee, and I wanted to go ahead and share a little preview.

Our plan is for 100% of the profits from these shirts to be donated directly to those in need following the recent flooding in our communities. I’ll also be printing the shirts in-house, which will help us keep costs down and allow as much as possible from each shirt to go toward the fundraising effort.

We are still working through the details of exactly how the funds will be distributed and which organization or method we will use, so those details are still TBD. I want to make sure everything is handled thoughtfully and transparently before we officially launch.

And a huge THANK YOU to everyone who is already out there helping with relief efforts. To the volunteers, first responders, businesses, organizations, churches, neighbors, and everyone pitching in wherever they can — you all are amazing. It has been incredible to see so many people come together for these communities.
