My Mother brought me some miscellaneous canning jars a couple months ago...the beginning of the month I started going through them as I was making home made spaghetti sauce. And needed to can it.
most of the boxes were wide mouth quarts which i prefer but i got a big surprise when I pulled out this jar! I got so freaking excited!!

Can you guess what it is???

Okay... ill tell ya if you didnt....its a GLASS mayonnaise jar!! 🤗
When was the last time you could buy your mayo in a glass jar? Do you remember? Because I dont. Maybe the 90s? When did they switch to being plastic?

Anyways....I like to think I'm frugal so I buy my mayo by the gallon and just fill a pint mason jar to keep in the house fridge. The rest of the gallon goes out in the garage pantry fridge. Guess what ill be filling instead of that mason jar? 🤔
You guessed it! A vintage glass mayonnaise jar 😍

Here's your reminder to Check your Balls!
Ball canning Jars that is.!! or Kerr or whichever ones you are using.
Luckily I noticed the crack in the first one as I was filling it and the chips on the top on the other one as I was wiping the rims before putting lids on. So I didn't have any messes to clean up in the canner.

Tried a new recipe tonight....Cuban Black Beans and rice. Paired with baked Cajun tilapia. Which is just baked in butter with Kingsford Spicy Cajun seasoning. Which is absolutely NOT spicy.
The recipe is as follows
2 tbsp oil please use a good olive oil
1 yellow onion chopped
2 Cloves of garlic
3/4 cup uncooked white rice
1 1/2 cup chicken broth
14oz can diced tomatoes with chilis
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp course black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
2 - 15oz cans black beans rinsed

Add oil to a pot on medium high heat. Add onions and garlic and cook for 4 minutes. Add the rice and cook for 2 minutes
Add chicken broth and tomatoes ..bring to a boil
Lower the heat to a simmer and cover..cook for 20 minutes.
Add spices and beans and mix together. Cook til beans are warmed through.

Now....I can NEVER follow a recipe exactly. I didn't have onions or garlic so I skipped them and the oil. And frying the rice and went straight to the chicken broth and tomatoes...added the rice and continued on.
When I got to the spices I DID add 3/4 tsp of onion powder and 3/4 tsp garlic powder.
This recipe is really Good. I put a dollop of sour cream on top and mixed it all in. I still felt like it was lacking something...if I make it again I will probably add a can of corn as well.

Went up to my room with the intention of just getting dressed...Then the De- Clutter Bug hit

The first Picture is fairly big pile of things to be donated

The second picture is a Big Ole pile on my dresser of....I need to think about these and go through them again in a day or 2...🤔 90% will probably be donated as well

And the 3rd and last picture is 2 small piles of things I know I can sell

And lastly sorry for the dark pictures....😐 there's no ceiling lights in the bedrooms.
Most of the time I don't care because Im usually just going to my room to sleep but when you're trying to go through things ...I make many trips into the bathroom to see them better 😂

Oh and one more thing...a lastly lastly thing....De-Cluttering has been SO SO SO good for my mental health. The more I get rid of.. the less anxiety I have. And Boy let me tell you.....With C-PTSD I have a TON of anxiety.!!
I'm calmer, more relaxed, and I sleep better now. And.....
I'm going to keep going. If my clothes don't fit in my 2 dressers.......I have way 2 many. 😂

Lets talk about decluttering for a minute.....
Why do we hang onto things for so long?
All of these things are toxic to cats....I've had my cat for 7 and a half years...so I have not used any of them in that amount of time....going on 8 YEARS.!
Plus....as I've gotten older they affect my breathing as well.
The carpet cleaners....I haven't had my Bissell in quite a few years..4....5...🤔
I used a carpet powder once and my poor boy sneezed for days and had runny eyes 😢
Sooo....
All of this taking up space on my shelves....not being used....FOR YEARS!!
Why? Why was I still hanging onto it? I'm never going to use it. Its just taking up space....just being stored. For what?
So why not let someone else use it if they can?
At this point its not about the money....I spent money on that! yes yes I did! With the intention of using it. But its sat here, on a shelf...For YEARS!
So I listed them on our local give away page.
Within 24 hours all 3 lots had been claimed By separate families and picked up.
15 items gone from my shelves....from my life 🤗
Seeing that empty space feels good. And once its gone from the house I won't think about it I'm sure.
I'm on a mission to get rid of anything I no longer use or want anymore. Going back to simpler times.
With age I have realized I really don't need as much as I thought I did.
And its so freeing! 🤗

October has got to be mine...
Maybe because my Birthday is in it or.....
More then likely because Halloween was my Favorite holiday for forever. 🎃
I really don't care about my Birthday. And I haven't since I was a child.

EBay has been ded ded ded for me. Probably my own fault though because there has been so much going on in my life the last few months That I have not dedicated hardly any time at all to my store. no listing, no end and sell similar, no sending daily offers, because there's no watchers lol
My eBay use to be the first thing I looked at in the morning upon waking up. Now its my emails...if there's nothing from eBay I don't even look at it. I got really discouraged when I realized a few weeks ago that all my item specifics from all my listings were gone! Must be when it had the glitch a few months ago, they were all lost. so now I have to go through and fill them all in again.
So yesterday I decided that I'm just going to delete Everything, donate old inventory and basically start over from scratch. Listing all over again. Funny that these travel mugs were in my mind to delete and I sold one today...totally forgot this dressing jar was listed because its been that long!! From probably 4 years ago when I started back up reselling.
So that will never happen again! Hopefully I can get on the ball and keep with it and make sure inventory is not sitting that long ever again.
So anyways...the dressing jar sold for 9.99 and the mug for 7.80. Not huge sales but at this point ill take whatever I can get.
