Hello my Inspiration family. I have the latest update to share on my situation. Things have been happening so fast I just can’t keep up but here’s my attempt.
I finalized the sale of my inventory and store fixtures along with the coffee equipment I was hoping to put to use. I’m completely out of the store front now. Eventually I will be shutting down my website and social media accounts. I may figure out a work around to be able to keep in touch some how but I don’t need to be paying for services I’m not using nor will be able to for some time. For now Facebook is free so I’ll keep it so we can connect here. 🥰 please be patient with me. I try to check messages but I have challenges with typing and texting. Hoping that improves eventually .

As for my health I am feeling pretty good. I still feel normal snd not sick I have dropped a lot of weight due to following some strict diets that are supposed to support fighting off cancer. I’m not sure but somewhere between 30-40 pounds. It was getting quite severe though as my body has not maintained the nourishment it needed and I have begun to lose some muscle tone. My protein and hemoglobin have been very low. I’m meeting with a nutritionist now and working on adding protein to my diet. I put on 3 pounds last week so that made me happy. 😊

My latest scan has shown evidence of reoccurrence which is disappointing but my surgeon is willing to attempt another resection and I will begin standard care after the surgery when I’m able. I have tried very hard to avoid this but this type of cancer is too aggressive so it appears my only hope. For now my priorities are destressing and daily rest. I’m doing my best there. 😂

❄️☀️Hello Inspiration family. ☀️❄️

It’s been a while since I gave an update. Thank you for your patience. I am continuing to heal from my surgeries and am gaining strength but also still recognize my limitations. I miss you all and being at the store.

This past September marked my 10th anniversary but I was unable to celebrate it with everything that was happening. I have been so blessed to have been open so long and my journey with Seasonal inspirations Gift Shop and all of you has been more rewarding than I know how to put into words. ❣️Thank you to everyone for the many ways you have supported me and my business over the past 10 years. ☀️

Something I often talk of is the fact I love the seasons and the change they bring. Well this season has brought more change than I could have ever imagined. There is a quote that says something like the fall season shows us how beautiful letting go can be. Forgive me I cannot recall it accurately at the moment, but Fall is my favorite season and it is appropriate that I am realizing the changing of seasons in my life and recognizing I am at a place of letting go. As winter comes upon us and brings a time of rest I realize that I am entering a season of rest and I need to close my store. Even so, I look forward to a future season of renewal however that may manifest. For now I will rest and let my own inspiration be renewed for what the future may bloom in the future. 🌱

I will be open one last time this coming weekend, Dec 5 from 2:00-6:00 pm and also during the Olivet Christmas parade on Dec 6 from 5:00-7:00 pm. We will have some sweet treats and hot beverages available for purchase as well as some special good buys! I look forward to seeing you then. ❄️☃️🎄☕️🍪🧡🧡🧡

Good evening Inspirations family. I wanted to reach out and let everyone know that I will be closed this week and until further notice. I gave this past week a try and it proved to be too much, too soon. I would really love to be back in the store, but know I need to listen to my body first! God will continue to get me through this, thank you all for your continued prayers! ☀️

Doctor just came out and spoke to us. Everything went well. He was able to get everything he saw. He sounded really confident that this was good. They are finishing things up and monitoring her currently.

Hello my beautiful inspiration family! ☀️
I’ve been trying to pull together an update to share but after Wednesday things really ramped up with things I had to do since we had family pictures scheduled for Friday evening and trying to get some errands/ shopping done to be ready. Today I am trying to wrap up loose ends and square up my game plan. I want to share what everyone has been waiting for first. I actually was already given this information last Friday, I believe by God’s grace, because for what ever reason our appointments were out of order, but it has worked to my benefit. (🙌🏼 imagine that!)

So first of all we have been told that there is no pseudoaneurysm so that is great news. The PET scan came back negative on the liver for cancer also. So it is apparently a type of cells like having a mole on my liver. Nothing to be concerned with. So now we are left to the brain tumor itself.

They called it a high grad Astrocytoma. Normally this would be a grade 3 they said but my age makes them treat it as a grade 4 glioblastoma. It is an aggressive cancer and they recommend it be removed ASAP. So the last couple of days I have had a whirlwind of arrangements being made to adjust schedules and make way for me to have surgery. I will be having surgery in the Detroit area at Beaumont/Corrwell hospital with a brain tumor specialist performing the surgery. He seems optimistic with how the tumor is positioned that it will remove well.

I have a virtual appointment with him Monday morning. Tuesday we will go to Beaumont to have another couple of MRI scans that will be used to help determine things needed during the surgery. They will do more blood work and a EKG to clear me for surgery. The goal is to have everything come together for surgery this Wednesday, September 24.

I appreciate everyone’s care and concern but I need to ask for your patience. I will do my best to update and get word out to you all, but I cannot keep up with the individual out reach. It is impossible. You are welcome to keep reaching out as it is encouraging to know I’m in your thoughts, but I need you to wait for me to process and respond. You have no idea how much stimulation it is for me just having a person sit in the same room as me. It literally drains my energy.

I’m still feeling good and positive because I know who holds tomorrow. 🤩 my hope is truly in Him and His plan for me. Continued prayers are appreciated of course and I’ll inform everyone of needs I may have arise that you can help me out with. 🥰 All my love☀️

Hello everybody! ☀️
Yesterday I had a really good day and today is good as well. Tomorrow I have my first appointment and follow up after surgery. I will get staples removed from the incision. Hopefully I will start getting some information soon so I can move forward. Next week brings a couple appointments starting with the PET scan on my liver. (They ended up not doing the biopsy while I was in the hospital). Then I will follow up with oncology to get results for the scan and final biopsy pathology. I continue to be in good spirits, and I am feeling more myself after everything my body has been through. I just wanted to give a quick update and make an announcement about being open. 

We have a class this Saturday, September 13 so the shop will be open from 9 to 1. It is my hope that I will be popping in for an hour or so during that time. September 16 we have an evening class scheduled so the shop will be open Tuesday 4 to 9 as well. I’m not sure that I will be available that evening, but if there’s anyway at all you are able to stop by and show some support to me it would be greatly appreciated. I’m eager to get my doors back open and see you all face-to-face! But I’m being smart and taking it easy for all of those that know how difficult that is for me you can be very proud! 🤣

We have rolled out some fall items and some of my crafted creations will be available.  I’ve received notification of some back orders coming as well, so maybe Mallory and I will try to do a unboxing again soon just so I can keep in touch. I greatly appreciate anything you all can do to help support my business during this transitionary time. The simplest support helps me tremendously whether it is through your messages and phone calls or just stopping by to say hi to my staff or possibly even catch me there. Please share my business and help promote me so people don’t forget about me if I’m not able to be open daily. 🥰 Hopefully I will have enough information next week that I may be able to open a couple hours throughout the coming days. My community means a lot to me and my relationships with all of you.

Good morning and hello my wonderful inspiration family! It’s been a few days and I just wanted to hop on quickly to update everyone. I am home and resting comfortably. This is my main focus currently. I have come to realize I can only handle minimal stimulation for short periods of time. Jeff is doing a great job taking care of me and keeping me still. Anyone who knows me knows that’s quite a challenge. 😂

All of my follow up appointments have been made and will begin next week. I’m still in the process of gathering information and test results so we know what we are dealing with. I continue to be in good spirits and feel well. Just get tired easily.

This will be a strange season this year, but I think appropriate for me as you know I love change and autumn brings forth lots of change. I’m looking forward to all I will learn about myself and life in the coming months. Today is a beautiful fall day, and it motivates me. I miss the shop and feel the sesire to be creative creeping in as my favorite time of year is approaching. But Ipromise I am exercising discipline and restraint 😊

I have been overwhelmed by all the pouring out of love I have received from everyone. Thank you all so much for you’re kind words and concern and the great encouragement I have received from you all.  I think you all for continued prayers and I hope to figure out a plan to be in the shop some so I might see some of you face-to-face. Celebrate your blessings and stay inspired! ☀️💜
