Ok time for a rant. So goto VA Dr this morning for referral for arthritis in both hips. Basically he said that I need a hip replacement cause it is so severe. Only to get a call back a couple of hours later saying that the ortho surgeon want to wait for me to lose weight. Hmm let's see I have hip and knee pain on both sides and it's hard enough just to get thru day of work without falling from my knee giving out and or severe pain. Now you want me to try and exercise more so I hurt more and will end up taking off sick cause I can't f'ing move the next day.... I understand that I need to lose weight but I have already changed my diet from when I was a dispatcher and eating crap foods. I mostly eat proteins. But being a type 2 diabetic and no one wants to cover the f'ing meds that I need to lose the weight is madness. My insurance won't cover the ozempic medication and neither will the va. When I had EQC benefits I got it and lost weight. 25 to 30 lbs and was on the way further. WTH are we supposed to do in these cases. No one wants to cover s**t anymore and just raise prices on everything. Let's not fix people and problems we will just wait until they die or become crippled so we can just pay more down the line.
