๐Ÿ†Please join us in celebrating Capital High School Media Arts and CTE Teacher Scott Le Duc, who has been named the 2027 Regional Teacher of the Year by Educational Service District (ESD) 113! ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐Ÿ‘

For 28 years, Scott has inspired generations of students through innovative courses such as Game Design, Film Cinematography, and IB Film, empowering them to lead their own learning, think creatively, and prepare for successful futures beyond high school.

โ€œScott is widely respected by students, families, colleagues, and industry partners,โ€ shared Capital High School Principal Condee Wood. โ€œStudents describe him as both demanding and deeply supportive as an educator who pushes them to achieve more than they believed possible.โ€

From building student confidence to leading innovation in Career and Technical Education and AI integration, Scottโ€™s impact extends far beyond the classroom and continues to shape the learning culture at Capital High School and across Olympia School District.

This recognition follows Scott being named Olympia School Districtโ€™s Teacher of the Year earlier this year, an honor that highlighted his extraordinary impact on students, staff, and the broader school community: bit.ly/TeacherOfTheYear2026

As a Regional Teacher of the Year honoree, Scott will now advance in the Washington State Teacher of the Year selection process, which includes written applications, virtual interviews, and a keynote presentation. The Washington State Teacher of the Year will be announced later this fall.
