Playing more with the new SU Hot Foiling system today. The Peaceful Pine card was foiled on acetate and stamped the coordinating image tone on tone, then layered the acetate on top. The get well card I just foiled on white and layered with gold foil and embossed the background layer.

Have you heard that Stampin Up has a brand new product out? It’s called Stampin’ Hot Foil System. I wasn’t going to get it, but after seeing all the rage I caved. There are 3 colors of foil, Gold, Silver, and Pink. It’s very cool and versatile. I’ve used the Scenic Coast, Moonlit Flora, and the Botanical Glow bundle with the newest in color Peaceful Pine and Gold foiling.

Here’s a new easel fun fold inspired by Karen Titus’ YouTube tutorial. Thought this was perfect to showcase the Scenic Coast suite. I just love this DSP as it does all the work.

I created this card using the Rolling Waves bundle and experimented with the shimmering texture paste. I first stamped the water in Azure Afternoon and then stamped the beach in Crumb Cake. I then added some sand texture in Pecan Pie. I created a stencil using window sheet and die cut with the largest wave/foam dies. I placed it on the stamped image and lightly added the shimmer paste where I wanted to add texture. After it dried I added the umbrellas and starfish with a few sea glass embellishments, sentiment, and frost white spatter (retired).

I’ve made many bridge fold cards in the past. This particular bridge fold I used a clear acetate strip for my bridge and it takes this to another level. Using the Waterside Retreat DSP I was able to create a scene and add the Adirondack chair and fence (both retired dies) along with die cuts from Lakeside Retreat (April’s Paper Pumpkin). I liked how it turned out and hope to try this again with other products.

Created this Double Accordion fun fold inspired by Dawn’s Stamping Thoughts YouTube tutorial. I used the Splash & Relax bundle, So Swirly embossing folder. The water DSP is from the Beach Boardwalk. This card folds out and fits in A2 envelope and the backside you can write on. Very fun card and could use any theme of products.

Needed to change up from all the beachy cards and broke out the Moonlit Flora suite. This suite has the most beautiful DSP with a rich, moody color palette. The dies are so detailed with beautiful ferns and foliage and dies to cut out stamped images and has a great label for sentiments. My first card I made a window by die cutting the DSP with the Everyday Arches . I embossed my focal point with the Fern & Flora 3D embossing folder and layered it up with die cuts using the 2 tone card stock arches and foliage and an added a sentiment. The second card I had to use my arched die cut from the first card and created a fun fold.

Last week I was rummaging through some old watercolors and mixed mediums to create some water backgrounds while I was waiting for my Rolling Waves bundle to arrive. Once it arrived I was able to play around with the dies to create these fun beach cards. I still have some other backgrounds and scraps left to create more projects.
