Despite a rather limited attendance due to the holiday, we had a wonderful time hosting Jason Harrelson of for the Omaha trumpet meet-up!

I warned everyone that planned to attend that they are 100% guaranteed to learn something. Jason brought six of his awesome new horns, some made with 3D-printed stainless steel, 3D-printed nylon, and various other revolutionary designs and features. One does not have to play trumpet or any musical instrument to appreciate this level of craftsmanship and/or technological advancement in fabrication practices.

We were the first stop on this tour, so if you're planning on stopping by any of the meet-ups along the way, prepare to have your mind blown!

Trumpet players, I lied.

I told you this would release in April.

It didn’t, it wasn’t ready.

The solution to “slammers” deserved more than “good enough.”

More testing. More refinement.

But now? The wait is over.

After 13 years of development, the solution to "slammers" is here!

Here's a collection of some before/after and progress shots of the extensive renovation of what is now our new shop space!

The upper floor of the Patton Equipment building is an office space that remained pretty much abandoned for 40+ years. Anyone who has ever worked at Patton Equipment knows those upstairs offices were borderline disgusting, and quite dated in appearance.

The first thing to go was the old stained and tattered carpet + padding, which was so shredded that it jammed any vacuum that went over it. We then opened up a door in the far back office that leads to the warehouse, so supplies can be lifted up via forklift. After a spray coat of primer, we spent the next few weeks painting the walls light blue, and blacking out all of the trim. The only part we hired out was the LVP flooring, which was put down in a day and a half!

The first post of many, JP Woods and Prints has finally made the move out of our basement! Over the past two months, we've knocked everything down that has been dug into our house since July of 2020, moving 30+ 3D printers, the Shapeoko 3 XXL, Cricut, resin setup, and everything else into a new space! Here's a greatly abbreviated version of our take on spring cleaning in the form of a few snaps!
