Engineered flooring definitely has its place, but there’s still nothing quite like a true 3/4" solid hardwood.

This project features Paramount Flooring’s Stockbridge collection in Stridewell (European White Oak). The wirebrushed texture and warm, natural tones tie in seamlessly with the custom cabinetry and the waterfall island, making the whole main level feel connected and grounded.

The biggest upside to going solid here? Longevity. While quality engineered floors can often take one or two light sandings down the road, a true 3/4" solid profile gives you a deep, usable wear layer above the tongue and groove. That means decades from now—whether life happens or design trends change—this floor can be completely sanded down to bare wood, restained, and refinished multiple times. It’s an investment built to outlast the life of the home.

A custom staircase is an investment—a patterned runner is how you protect it without hiding it.
Leaving the white oak exposed along the margins lets the custom stain and grain shine, while the runner adds traction, quiets foot traffic, and ties the entire landing together.

It was definitely neat to be able to work on this project for the Husker volleyball team! We installed 5" Herringbone White Oak prefinished flooring by Anderson Tuftex in the newly updated players lounge at the Devaney Center locker room.

The timeless herringbone pattern brings a classic yet modern look to the space, built to handle the energy of our championship team. Exceptional craftsmanship for an elite program.

This was a unique project that came across the desk at Maverick Hardwood Floors. While exterior restoration isn't typically part of the standard service offerings, an exception was made to assist with this beautiful outdoor teahouse.

The project involved sanding, cleaning, and re-oiling a Cumaru wood deck, which serves as a stunning example of this material's potential. Cumaru, often called Brazilian Teak, is an incredibly dense, durable exotic hardwood known for its natural resistance to decay, insects, and moisture. Because of its extreme hardness and tight grain structure, it is an excellent choice for outdoor applications, though it requires specific care to maintain its rich, warm color and prevent it from graying over time. It was a pleasure to help restore the natural vibrancy of this wood and ensure the structure remains well-protected for years to come.

This sophisticated 🧐 walnut parquet floor featured here transforms this space into the ultimate golf simulator room. There’s a reason cherry is a classic. It’s got a unique, mellow grain pattern that looks incredible when you take it dark. Because of how cherry behaves, it requires a careful touch during the sanding and staining process to keep the color even—but when you get it right, the result is deep, sophisticated, and completely unique to the home. Another one in the books for a great Omaha client.
