The other half of the garage.

A Sony BRAVIA set flush into walnut with no bracket and no visible cable, a MartinLogan electrostatic pair either side, and a Control4 remote on the arm of the sofa. Walk in from the bays, sit down, press once and the game is on.

Same building. Different job. Same system.

Last thing before the garage. First thing when you get home.

A Control4 T5 touch screen flush in the mudroom plaster. Lighting, comfort, security and shades on one screen, every room in the house behind it. Leave, and the house locks up and powers down. Arrive, and it is already warm.

One screen. Zero apps to hunt for.

102 degrees. Zero fuss.

A hot yoga studio in an old brick building where the heat and humidity would kill ordinary gear. Sonance in-ceiling speakers built for it. A Q-SYS touch panel by the door with three scenes, Warm Up, Flow and Cool Down, so the instructor sets the room in one touch and never leaves the mat. Spots dimmed low over every mat, an edge of light along the brick, the mirror wall glowing at the end.

Commercial AV that disappears into the class.

Three feet either side. A world apart.

A MartinLogan electrostatic pair flanking a Sony BRAVIA set flush in walnut, toed to the sofa, nothing in the corners. Through the glass, the cars. On this side, the sound.

Speakers placed the way the physics wants them, not the way the furniture allows.

Winter outside. Fairway inside.

A timber barn turned into a simulator bay. An Epson laser projector mounted over the tee on a post bracket, throwing a clean image onto the impact screen with nothing in the swing path. Snow on the other side of the glass.

Play all year.

Decanter. Humidor. One remote.

The Control4 Halo Touch replaces the pile. Watch, Listen, Lights and Shades on its screen, real buttons under your thumb for the moments you do not want to look down. The game in the lounge, the music in the car bay, the lights across the whole building.

One thing to pick up. Everything to control.

Park it. Light it. Play it.

Four bays and a lounge outside La Crosse, built for a client who wanted to admire the cars, work on them and watch the game in the same building. Lutron scenes run the hexagon grid: Showroom, Detail, Work, Night. James Small Aperture speakers sit between the light bars and disappear. Next door, a Sony BRAVIA set flush in walnut, a MartinLogan pair either side and a Control4 remote on the arm of the sofa.

One building. One system. One press.

The least glamorous photo we will post. The most important.

A labelled, dressed rack in the mechanical room. Router, switch and gateway, every run patched and tagged, so the streaming, the cameras and the control system never fight for bandwidth. When the network is right, everything above it feels effortless.

We build this first. Then the fun stuff.

One panel. Four zones.

Bar, booths, patio and the back room, each with its own level, all from one Q-SYS touch panel behind the bar. Sonos amps racked and labelled in the back. Staff pick the scene, Open, Dinner, Game Night or Close, and the whole room follows.

No laptop behind the bar. No arguments about the volume.

This is what whole home audio looks like from the back.

Four Sonos Amps and a Port on the shelf, speaker runs dressed to the side, every room in the house on its own zone. The app shows all of them. The rack shows the work.

Installed properly, it just works. For years.
