Threw some heat on a classic 20 gallon this morning. This is an old pot but it’ll be ready to work once it goes back home tomorrow. I can smell the cracklin cooking now.

A typical Saturday for me includes hot DezMeaux's Boudin and Hot Sauce Saturday on Z105.9 with Dj Corey Arceneaux. 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾

One of my favorite meals by far is Red Beans and Fried Chicken. It’s an undefeated combination in my book. 🤌🏾🤌🏾

Laid the second round of seasoning on these two big pots last night. One’s a 15 gallon and the other is a 20gal. It takes time and heat to season up these big pots the right way. Things can get tricky wrestling these bad boys at 500 degrees.

I can make a good gravy in an aluminum pot too. I typically like to cook with them inside the house instead of on the burner. Cast Iron is just my favorite all around cookware to use. I feel that it holds and conducts heat better. What do you all prefer to cook y’all gravies in and why? Which one do you think is better? I’m curious to know y’all’s preference.

Louisiana creole style smothered goat with smoked ribeye sausage. This flavor of this gravy was so rich. Locally sourced from the pastures of Plaisance, Louisiana. It just doesn’t get any fresher than this. 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾
