To the newbies, here's a brief status update on the business-
Cajun Rustique is a home-based business located in Opelousas, LA and has been operating since 2015. All items used are reclaimed materials, personally designed & handcrafted by moi �. Many items are 'one only', meaning no two are ever alike, making them a unique item to own and are handpainted (no vinyl). The style specialized in is a r

ustic/distressed finish & my favorite theme is anything with a Louisiana/Cajun/Creole flair since I was born and raised In the Acadiana area �. At this time, only two custom orders per month are being taken. If you see a stock item that you'd like in a different color scheme, please reach out via message and I'll do my best to work with you. Purchases can be made by commenting on an item pictured or via personal messages. Local pickup is encouraged & if this is not possible, shipping is available at buyer's expense (unless noted on oversized pieces). Invoices are requested to be paid no later than 6 hours after receiving them or the order will be cancelled. Credit cards are accepted for local purchases. CRustique items are also available for purchase at Louisiana Marketshops at the 115 in Henderson, LA & LARC Acadian Village in Lafayette, LA. I'm pleased to be a part of these

We all have our favorite pots to cook in - depending on the menu as to which one to pour bien faire, weh?
Having many cast irons & magnalites handed down thru the family, this is a fav on hot days when turning on the heat in the kitchen is not an option!
Trying to get things done in the Studio, Vieux (Old) Vintage is on a slo-cook during work time - this was a wedding gift back in the late '70s that has stayed tried & true beaucoup times over, has aged quite well & is still going strong!

This particular paint takes 5 layers for a thorough basecoat coverage but, c'est bon, the mixture of pigments makes it smell like peppermint in the jar...
As many different paints that I use, they all smell like....well, just paint!
