For those that love beautiful wood… I’m sharing a few images of wood I purchased from Jubilee Specialty Wood. The Jubilee facility is located on the Baldwin Beach Express, just south of CR 38. Just added the Black Limba and Bocote lumber to the shop inventory. Also sharing an image of a
24” x 12” piece of Lati, freshly planed. I bought this lumber from Jubilee too.

This is the first of six new Octopus Art pieces I plan to make. Currently on display at the Coastal Arts Center in Orange Beach.

Pictured: Right and left profile. Plantation Teak panel with Wenge cap and base.

This series will all be free standing and the Octopus will be floating in the frame. That provides you the option to pose the Octopus in lieu of “profile only”.

Plantation Teak is to be used for all six. Base and cap species and shape can be made from many different species options.

Had to replace our “car keys” dish… I found a nice piece of mahogany at “Jubilee Specialty Woods” a few weeks back. This will be the first of several pieces from that board. There is fabulous figure in the wood, just waiting to “pop”.
