Apologies for the long delay since my last update! We're still going, just been busy! My personal favorite project was this yard tool. The head is the main piece; the owner bought it in Kenya. It has several names depending on the country and language. In Swahili it is called a Jembe. In Zambia it is called a Kwambili in the local language called Nyanj and in the area of Zambia where they speak Bemba, it is called a Kasu.

The coffee grinder is assembled! I'm giving it a day or so for it to fully finish curing, but its fully functional. I'm going to have to make another one I think. If the bolivian rosewood wasn't so expensive and difficult to work with I'd definitely do more with it. You hardly even notice the flaws since the wood is so beautiful!

Made my first bowl this week. Took about 4 hours from start to finish, although I didn't apply a finish until today. Its a bit rough, but its my first one, and it was my first turning project with traditional turning tools. I think this piece of wood is a bit of ash from last year's derecho.

Lots of little projects this week! The pine board is a test to make sure the dimensions work for temhe customer, the walnut board is our first try with epoxy to fill holes, and the stands are prototypes for a local caterer!
