Take a look behind the scenes (PART 2): When you buy a Craft Cult box, you’re supporting not one small business, but many! Craft Craft sourced all our 100% cotton fabric from 4 immigrant- and family-owned businesses in Los Angeles and Anaheim!

After spending an afternoon browsing dozens of fabric stores in Los Angeles’s Fashion District, here are our favorite places we found that sell yards for a great bargain! Check them out and say hi if you’re in the Southern California area and looking for a Michael’s/Jo-Anne alternative. Have a favorite fabric store you like visiting? Tag them!

Take a look behind the scenes (PART 1): As we’ve stated, we are in the business of supporting small businesses! For the first reveal of our suppliers, we are taking a look at Box 2’s beeswax pastilles and jojoba oil, which we have sourced from comes from Mountain Rose Herbs, an herbal shop established in 1987.

With decades of practicing and leading sustainability and zero waste practices, they have earned an impressive list of sustainability certifications and in 2016, they became the first company in Oregon to achieve a Zero Waste Facility Certification from the U.S. Zero Waste Business Council. While they have grown a reputation for their high quality herbs in Eugene, Oregon they also continue to involve themselves in environmental causes, conservation movements, and grants! Who are your favorite apothecaries to support?

As we head into another stay at home order and small businesses continue to struggle in this pandemic, it’s worth taking a look at just how dominating a presence Amazon is in e-commerce today. Amazon currently dominates the market, with 38.7% of ALL online sales. The second contender? Walmart at 5.3%. The difference is shocking. What do you think? What are your thoughts or experiences in trying to shop small?
