The backing came in for my dad’s ⚡️Static Age Quilt!!! He was so excited yesterday when I showed him the top and what I chose for the backing! His only request is to make it thick!!! He stays cold so if he want a thick quilt he will get one!!!

I finally got my Neon True Colors and Everglow fabrics in! Honestly I don’t know how she could top this collection!!!! If I could I would buy bolts of this stuff and make everything out of it!!! Tula, I really need u to do neon and neutral solids!!!! I would fall out if that ever happened!!!

My second Static Age Quilt ⚡️is in the works! 144 HT cut and trimmed! I’m only using 50 but wanted to make sure I had the range of color I wanted! I’m gonna make a wall hanging for my door at work with the rest I think!

Now I have the rectangles I have add!!! Hope to have that done by Friday night!

I’m in love with how it came out! I can’t wait to show my dad on Tuesday!!! The quilting is already planned out! I’m just waiting on the backing! One Static Age Quilt top down one too go!!!

My bolts ⚡️ are complete on my dad’s Static Age quilt! I hope to have all the piecing done this weekend! I want to show him the quilt top on his birthday Tuesday! He will be 74 yes old!!!

When I decided to make a quilt for him he was pretty sick! Not eating or drinking his coffee ☕️. Sleeping hours on end and Dealing with lots of pain! He told me you can’t keep an ol man from dying! 😭My heart was breaking! 💔What I didn’t know because he doesn’t always tell me everything 🙄is that he had been feeling pretty bad for weeks and it finally got the best of him. He’s been under hospice/palliative care for 3 years so I was praying for healing but preparing for the worst! I wasn’t ready and thankfully he wasn’t either. He finally got meds and within 24 hours he was back to his ol self! ❤️I know the day will come, but in the meantime I’m gonna smother him with lots of love and keep him warm with a quilt that is so perfect for him!
